How to facilitate interaction between entrepreneurs and mentors through online applications or devices that enable personal contact, information sharing and the development of a wider network of contacts?
The process of entrepreneurship is a risky process in which there are no guarantees of success. Error and failure are part of this process, but they can be mitigated with the support of mentors who share their experience and resources with entrepreneurs. Although face-to-face relationships and networking are irreplaceable, our aim is to reduce the time and distance and facilitate contact between entrepreneurs and mentors, as well as to create a wider network of contacts that can add useful resources and insights for entrepreneurs. We need an application, platform or social network exclusively dedicated to the relationship between mentors and entrepreneurs that allows for the identification and connection of mentors and entrepreneurs located anywhere in the world.
The Department of Entrepreneurship and Social Economy (DEES) aims to stimulate, support and disseminate initiatives in the field of entrepreneurship and social economy, with a view to creating and developing innovative, economically sustainable solutions with a relevant social impact. To this end, it develops methodologies and instruments for training and the co-creation of socially innovative ideas, initiatives to promote an entrepreneurial culture in schools and in civil society, programmes to support the creation of social businesses by individuals and social economy organisations and partnerships with other entities. The active participation of citizens is also a commitment of the department that is achieved through the creation of a grant for tutors/mentors, that is, citizens who make their time and expertise available to the entrepreneurs of the projects supported.
The department is an agent aimed at the stimulation of social inclusion through networking and the active participation of citizens and communities in solving social problems and needs, seeking to broaden the scope of solutions and responses that Santa Casa provides to the population, mainly to the most disadvantaged.
